The Grant School Technology Wiki, used by all of our teachers and students at Grant School, has been nominated for a “2010 Best Educational Wiki” award from Edublogs.  Our site is one of only 42 sites in this category from around the WORLD to make it on to the final list of nominees!  It is a huge honor, and we should all be proud to have such a wonderful resource for our teachers and students.

The Grant Technology Website was originally developed to solve a set of logistical and technical issues including:

The ability to provide consistent access at home, in classrooms and in the computer lab to subscription and textbook integrated tools

Providing teachers with access to quality and credible resources for research and instruction

• Addressing all elementary aged students with quality activities and resources with minimal advertising

The ability to leverage communications and resources for staff

The “Technology Wiki” site began in 2006 and has continued to grow and develop based on individual teacher preferences and student needs and interest.  Like all websites, keeping it updated and relevant is essential as a tool for our school community.  Additionally, our Technology website promotes and delivers on the "work anywhere on campus” goal set forth by the tech committee back in 2003-2004.
