Can we attend TK in PCS even if we don’t reside in the attendance area?

Intra & inter district transfers work the same as other grades.  Interdistrict transfers begin the process in the district of residency (call your resident district office for details).  Families interested in an intra district transfer request can go directly to the PCS District Office (200 Douglas Street, Petaluma) to start the paperwork..

What does the TK day look like?

TK hours of instruction will follow Kinder hours of instruction.

TK students will visit the library and computer lab, participate in PE, have cross-aged buddies, and be fully integrated in our existing K-6 programs and opportunities as scheduling as appropriateness dictates..

Can I visit the TK program before deciding?

Yes,, please call to set up a tour.  The phone number are:

McKinley School 778-4750 and Grant School at 778-4742

How is registration priority determined?  TK is for students within the September 2 to December 31st birthday window.  We give first priority to residents and then intra district transfers (within Petaluma City Schools District) and finally to inter district transfers (outside of PCS).
