Registration information

Enrollment Process

Priority registration begins January 10, 2017 and ends February 24, 2017

Step 1

Identify your neighborhood school using the Schools Finder.

 

Step 2

Complete the Petaluma City Schools Registration Form: Click Here for EnglishClick Here for Spanish.

 

Step 3

Complete the health and vaccination requirements.  California State Law requires that all students have current vaccination records before entering school.  

 

Step 4

Complete the Student Emergency form (Below).

Step 5

Submit the completed registration form, proof or residency and vaccination records to your neighborhood school.  An original certified copy of the birth certificate, passport, or baptismal record is required for students who are enrolling in school for the first time (Kindergarten, TK, etc.) to verify the student’s birth date.  

 

Kindergarten and Transitional Kindergarten

 

Enrollment in Kindergarten is open to children who turn five by September 1, 2017

 

Enrollment in Transitional Kindergarten is open to children who turn five by January 15, 2018

 

Children who turn five between September 2 and December 2, 2017 have priority for the Transitional Kindergarten program.

Inter District Transfers

The inter district transfer form is to be submitted by the parents/guardians of students who reside outside of the Petaluma City Schools district, and desire to attend one of our schools.  This form is to be submitted to your district of residence.

Intra District Transfers

The intra district transfer form is to be submitted by the parents/guardians of students who live within Petaluma City Schools district boundaries, and desire to attend a school other than their neighborhood school.  This form is to be submitted to your school of residence.

Employment Related Transfers

The employment related transfer form is to be submitted by the parents/guardians of students who work within the Petaluma City Schools district boundaries, but do not live in the district, and desire for their student(s) to attend our schools.
